Mission EmployAble - Supported Internship Information Session
18:30-19:30, 23 April 2025
At Mission EmployAble, we train young people (age18-25) with learning disabilities to make the most of their individual talents and help them find a paid job.
During this webinar, you can find out more about our 10 month Supported Internship training programme and how we've helped more than 90% of graduated interns into paid roles.
All learning takes place in our purpose-built training facility in Chorleywood, Herts. We accept interns with an EHCP from anywhere in the local area, including Wycombe, Aylesbury, Marlow, The Chalfonts, Amersham and Chesham, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Hatfield, Rickmansworth, Garston, Bushey, Harrow and Hillingdon.
Interns learn a range of transferable skills, including food preparation, serving customers, barista work, pot wash, horticultural, ranger maintenance and catering and hospitality.
Almost 94.8 % of people with learning disabilities in the UK are unemployed. Yet, when it comes to aspiration and ambition, young people with a learning disability are no different from anyone else! So, let's change that statics one young person at a time.

Support Emily Powell running the London Marathon for Mission EmployAble!
We're excited to announce that Emily, a local mum will be running in the 2025 London Marathon to support Mission EmployAble. Emily has been deeply impressed by the training and support provided by our charity.
Nominating Mission EmployAble as her charity of choice was an easy decision for her. She has seen first hand how our training programme has helped young people, like her friend's son,Leo gain independence and secure paid employment. It's truly inspiring to witness their excitement and determination as they work towards achieving their goals.
The marathon will take place on April 27th, and we would love your support in helping Emily reach her fundraising goals for this important cause. Every contribution will help us continue providing vital training and resources to young adults with learning disabilities in our community.

Support Emily Higgins running the 2025 Virtual London Marathon for Mission EmployAble!
Mission EmployAble is a fantastic charity working to fulfil lives for young people with learning disabilities and get them into paid employment. Their interns are afforded opportunities to train and be employed, being valued in the workplace and playing an active role in their local community.
My Dad (Peter) has worked as a Trainer for Mission EmployAble for a number of years. I have seen first hand how valuable the charity is to so many, which is why I have decided to fundraise for this amazing local charity - such a brilliant cause!
Good Luck Emily.
